Out2Play thrives on collaboration. We work closely with the New York City Department of Education and the School Construction Authority on every new playspace. NYC council members and borough presidents support the process at each stage, from site selection to funding. Finally, it is the collective vision of our schools’ principals, teachers, parents and, of course, students that guides us as we translate their dreams into reality.

“Our schools must be more than just chalkboards, computers, and classrooms. They must be an oasis for children so that they can be both physically and mentally strong.”
Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz

Our many special needs children have just a black top and basketball hoop, nothing to entice and engage them. Out2Play is going to build a playground with a theatre area”.
Lori Baker-Armond, Principal, PS 160

“The future of the Bronx lies in the bright future of our children… and I’m thrilled to support Out2Play in this gift to the community.”
Bronx Borough President Adolfo Carrion, Jr.

"Before, it was a playground that you wouldn't look twice at. But now you are like, wow, look at all these colors." - Sixth grader, PS 19
